Automatically Upgrade Chrome Extensions
Chrome supports automatic updates for extensions to ensure a secure experience. Once a Chrome extension is installed from the Chrome Web Store, Chrome will regularly check for updates to ensure it runs smoothly. These updates include the latest security patches, performance improvements, and new features, to protect your data.
Manually Upgrade Chrome Extensions
Even with auto-updates enabled, you can still manually update your Chrome extension.
To update manually, simply follow these three steps:
Open Chrome and type chrome://extensions/ into the address bar, then press Enter to open the Extensions management page.
Enable Developer Mode (You can close it after the update is complete).
Click the Update button.
After a short wait, you will see that the extension has been updated to the latest version.
NOTICE:
Please ensure that you have access to the Chrome Store (chrome.google.com) to smoothly upgrade.
Authorization
If you receive a permission error prompt, you will need to manually authorize it:
Open Chrome and type chrome://extensions/ into the address bar, then press Enter to open the Extensions management page.
Click on the details button for the EchoTik extension.
Check the box: "Automatically allow access to the following website".
